Well.... here they are.
Bucket gardens.
I've already planted peas, spinach, and carrots. I'm also going to plant tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, & cucumbers.
Now. If only it would stop snowing.
Bucket gardens.
I have an awesome father-in-law who gave me the idea (and gave me the buckets!). Mike & I painted them red (what else?) and filled them with my birthday dirt. And now they are READY.

They are so cute! I too have a bucket-planter garden. They are so much fun. The girls LOVE to plant them and water them all summer. You will be so proud when you eat something you have grown!
Filled them with your 'birthday dirt'...that sounds so funny! I love the red..it's my fave right now. And I'll second the notion of 'QUIT SNOWING' for pity's sake! I feel like we're all being robbed of nice Spring weather this year! Miss ya Lee Lee..glad your birthday was good to you. (Could you tell Nate to get me a dining room table and chairs for MY birthday???!!)
Yaaay for buckets! They sure are cute. Now come and plant some for me, would you?
Plant some for me in my back yard. We are putting in grass, I am soooo excited to have a backyard. We put seed down this last weekend and now we are going to do the back next weekend. I love the bucket idea though. Good thinking. I also like how you are going to plant vegetables in them, then you don't have to weed as much.
thank you for the recommendation. I do love that. I am always looking for a good book to read. I am waiting for Payson Library to get this book in. They are slow on the books I always want to read.
Thank you!
Your buckets look good. We missed you guys on Saturday. I feel so out of touch with you lately. Good luck on your growing. I hope it is plentiful.
