After these messages...

Remember this 80's commercial? Oh, the 80's. Bless the 80's heart.

But anyway....
I've been getting a few questions about Mexico, so I'm going to interrupt my "Reasons" monologue to answer some of them.

Why did I go to Mexico for 3 weeks?
I wanted to learn Spanish. My sis-in-law found out about this Spanish Immersion Course and she signed up. At the last minute (yes, the month before is considered last minute when you're going to Mexico for 3 weeks....the day you return from Girls Camp) I invited myself and signed up too.

What is this so-called Spanish Immersion Course, you ask?
Well, it's through a group called Project Amigo. This was the first year they offered the class. It was a pilot program for them so the price was good.

Where in Mexico was this offered?
Cofradia de Suchitlan. This is in the state of Colima. The nearest large town is also called Colima. (That was for you, Lisle.)

How did it go?
There were great things, and there were not-so-great things. If you email me, I'll elaborate.

Where can you learn more about this?
Um. The website is projectamigo.org. So you should check that out. But if you REALLY want to know more, you can email me. Or leave a comment with your questions and your email address so I can email you.
Can you throw in some more pics please?
Okay, no one really asked that. But here are some anyway. :)

Reasons For Not Blogging. Part 1.

Though it's not the first reason, let's start with Mexico.

I spent 3 weeks there.

Learning Spanish.
Chillin' with teenagers.
Missing mi esposo. (That means husband.)

Disclaimer: My camera has issues. Therefore the number of decent photos is limited. Yes, it's infuriating.

Sweet little muchacha.

Me & the ninas.

Cofradia's volcano.

The girls liked trying on my sunglasses.

I loved having these 2 around for the first week.

Awww.

My brief, but awesome weekend at a resort in Manzanillo. Completely solo. Compliments of my way-too-awesome husband, who arranged it all for me. The only thing that would have made it better is if he had been there with me. Oh, and coconut ice cream.

Back in Cofradia. Hiking with the Becarios and Audrey.

My buddy, Rojelio. At the eco-park we visited.

Yeah. That's a tarantula. Just crawling across the sidewalk.

Graduation.

Calalillies.

Me. With the Calalillies my boyfriend gave me. At least, that's what I said as I walked around town with them.

To be continued...
